Producer Mike Tollin settles into a chic new construction in Sherman Oaks
Director-producer Mike Tollin, whose credits include “Radio” and “Coach Carter,” has bought a five-bedroom contemporary home in Sherman Oaks for $2.525 million.
The chic spread originally hit the market in July for $2.499 million, records show.
Completed this year, the two-story house draws the eye with Ipe wood siding along the exterior. A custom wood front door opens to a great room with high ceilings and a wood-and-glass staircase. Light hardwood lines the airy 4,000-square-foot open floor plan, which is bordered by sliding glass doors for an indoor-outdoor feel.
A glassed wine cellar sits adjacent to the kitchen. Outside, a landscaped perimeter gives privacy to a covered patio and zero-edge pool and spa.
All five bedrooms are en suite. The four upstairs bedrooms all feature private balconies, with the master suite balcony spanning the width of the home.

Tollin, 62, teamed with Brian Robbins to create Tollin/Robbins Productions in 1994. The team’s highlights include “Varsity Blues” (1999) and “Wild Hogs” (2007). Tollin also wrote, directed and produced “Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream,” an Academy Award-nominated documentary following Hank Aaron’s pursuit of the baseball home run record.
