Earthquake: 3.2 temblor registered near Mendota, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Sunday morning 17 miles from the Fresno County city of Mendota, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 32 miles from Kerman, 32 miles from Coalinga and 36 miles from Los Banos.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
