Reader Photo: A playful sea lion at the aquarium
Photographer Ric Berryman captured this photo of a playful sea lion at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
Berryman and his son were standing next to a father and his daughter when the father pulled out his car keys. The keys piqued the playful pinniped’s curiosity, and he followed the keys around as the dad moved and tossed them in the air.
“The sea lion seemed to have fun following them,” Berryman said. “It was very much like watching a dog play with a ball and was very entertaining to watch.”
Berryman used a Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.4 lens to make the image.
