Thomas Ware had 23 points to lead host Grant (1-0). Thomas Frames had 17 points for L.A. University (0-1).

Senior Chris Anguiano made a layup with seven seconds left to win it for Reseda (2-0). Anguiano and Jaron Williams each had 11 points to lead Reseda. Huntington Park fell to 0-2.

D'Andre Bell scored 22 points for Palisades (3-1). Tyquan Lee had 16 points and nine assists for host San Pedro, which overcame an 18-point third-quarter deficit to tie the score 43-43 with three and a half minutes remaining before Palisades pulled away.

Walter Thompson had 30 points and added eight steals for host Venice (3-0). Birmingham is 1-2.
