CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Bell 1, Locke 0
Carlos Lopez scored on a penalty kick midway through the second half for host and No. 3-seeded Bell (14-0-7). The penalty kick was set up when the Locke goalkeeper fouled Bell midfielder Darwin Cruz in the penalty area. Goalkeeper Oscar Rivas registered the shutout for Bell, which will play host to Eastern League rival Los Angeles Jordan in a semifinal Monday. Bell edged Jordan by one point for the league title, but the teams tied, 1-1, and, 2-2, when they played eachother. Locke, the defending City champion, finished the season with an 11-3-5 record.

Quarterfinals

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Canoga Park 3, Fairfax 2 (sudden death)
Jorge Paez scored his second goal of the game with two minutes left in sudden-death overtime to give the host Hunters (17-1-2) the victory. Paez scored in the 50th minute to give Canoga Park a 2-0 lead. Fairfax scored its first goal with 10 minutes left in regulation on a free kick and scored with a minute left on a sideline throw-in play. Allanyire Lopez opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game. Canoga Park, which went 1-11-1 last season, will host San Pedro in a semifinal Monday.

L.A. Jordan 4, Sylmar 0
Brothers Jesus Martinez and Abran Madrigal each scored two goals to lead visiting L.A. Jordan (12-1-4). No. 2-seeded Sylmar is 22-5-2.

San Pedro 3, Reseda 2 (OT)
Carlos Lira scored in the seventh minute of overtime to lead fifth-seeded San Pedro (17-4-4), which overcame a 2-0 deficit despite having three players red-carded and finishing regulation with nine players and overtime with eight. Peter Hazdovac scored on a header late in the game for San Pedro to force overtime.

Bell 1, Belmont 0
Sergio Campos scored off an assist from Darwin Cruz five minutes into the second half for host and No. 3-seeded Bell (13-0-7), which will play host to defending champion Locke in a quarterfinal Thursday. Carlos Lopez started the scoring play by pasing the ball to Cruz off an indirect free kick. Belmont, which had advanced to the second round for the first time in five years with a 2-1 victory over El Camino Real in a playoff opener, is 12-4-3.

Canoga Park 3, Jefferson 1
Sophomore Miguel Joya, freshman Jeff Quijano and junior Jorge Paez each scored a goal for top-seeded Canoga Park (16-1-2) as the host Hunters continued their stunning turnaround season. Canoga Park, which was 1-11-1 last season, will play host to Fairfax in a quarterfinal Thursday. The Hunters led, 2-0 at halftime, against Jefferson and took a 3-0 lead a minute into the second half when Paez scored.

Fairfax 2, L.A. Hamilton 1
Henry Moran scored both goals, including the game-winner in the 75th minute, to lead host Fairfax (14-5-5).

L.A. Jordan 3, Franklin 2 (OT)
Jesus Martinez scored twice, including the game-winning goal in overtime, and Jesus Hernandez added a goal and an assist to lead visiting L.A. Jordan (11-1-4).

Locke 2, Fremont 1 (OT)
Jesus Vargas scored the game-winning goal in the seventh minute of overtime and also had an assist and Flavio Cabrera added the other goal to lead visiting Locke (11-2-5) over Fremont (9-4-2). Keeper Eric Contreras made eight saves for the Saints.

Reseda 2, Banning 0
Brian Gonzalez and Jenner Aguilar each scored for host Reseda.

San Pedro 2, Grant 0
Carlos Lira and Moses Velazquez each scored a goal and Logan Adams made four saves for his eighth shutout for host No. 5-seeded San Pedro (15-4-4), which hosts Reseda on Thursday. Grant is 13-7-2.

Sylmar 5, San Fernando 4
Sophomore Adrian Lopez had two goals and two assists and Julian Lopez added a goal and an assist to lead host Sylmar (22-4-2). Cesar Alvarez had two goals for San Fernando.
