AT THE PLATE: Catcher Yasmani Grandal looked locked in at the plate, finishing three for three with a home run and three runs batted in. The switch-hitting Grandal, who hit his fourth-inning home run left-handed, is batting .500 in the exhibition season. Adrian Gonzalez doubled in a run in the sixth inning.

ON THE MOUND: Mike Bolsinger and Chad Gaudin pitched two innings each, with Bolsinger giving up one run and Gaudin none. Both could step into the rotation if one of the team’s five projected starters are injured. The most impressive pitching performance of the day was by Chin-hui Tsao, who is in minor league camp. Tsao pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out three. The 33-year-old Tsao, who pitched for the Dodgers in 2007, was expelled from the Taiwanese league five years ago amid allegations of game fixing.

EXTRA BASES: Carl Crawford departed the game against the Indians after fouling a ball off his shin in the fourth inning, but said he didn’t think the bruise would significantly affect his preparation for the regular season. … Hyun-Jin Ryu threw live batting practice to minor league players and remains on track to start a Cactus League game Thursday.
