Adrian Gonzalez will be back in the Dodgers’ starting lineup Monday for the start of a three-game series at AT&T Park.

Gonzalez didn’t start three of the last four games because of a pinched nerve in his back that is affecting his left leg.

Gonzalez said he couldn’t bend over Saturday. He thought he could have played Sunday, but the team’s medical staff held him out as a precaution.

“Their concern is the same concern I have -- to get ready for the playoffs,” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez previously said he wanted to remain in the starting lineup for the remainder of the regular season to prepare for the postseason. That is still the case.

“As long as I’m good to play and it’s not going to put me at risk for setbacks,” Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez wasn’t the only player making a comeback Monday.

Utilityman Enrique Hernandez, who was sidelined with a strained hamstring, was activated from the 15-day disabled list.

“I’m 100%,” Hernandez said.
