Football: Hawkins is headed to seven straight wins before facing big three

Share

Los Angeles Hawkins, ineligible for the City Section football playoffs because it used an ineligible player last season, is off to a 3-0 start and figures to be 7-0 before it ends the season with tough games against Crenshaw, Dorsey and Los Angeles in the Coliseum League.

That will be the Hawks’ version of the City playoffs _ seeing how they do against the three best teams in league.

Meanwhile, players are getting the chance to compile impressive statistics after wins over View Park, Eagle Rock and St. Bernard.
