Earthquake: 3.7 quake strikes near Ukiah

A shallow magnitude 3.7 earthquake was reported Friday afternoon 1.9 miles from Redwood Valley, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:10 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0.3 mile.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Ukiah, 39 miles from Clearlake and 50 miles from Healdsburg.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
