Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Darwin, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was recorded Monday afternoon 10 miles from Darwin, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:45 p.m. PDT at a depth of 1.2 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 34 miles from Ridgecrest, Calif., 71 miles from California City, Calif., and 75 miles from Porterville, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
