Westbound 210 Freeway in Pasadena closed this weekend for repairs

Share

Motorists driving through Pasadena this weekend are reminded that all lanes of the westbound 210 Freeway will be closed for repairs.

A two-mile stretch of the freeway, from Lake to Mountain avenues, was closed at 10 p.m. Friday and will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday, Caltrans officials said. The eastbound 134 Freeway connector to the westbound 210 also is closed.

Motorists traveling through the area can expect delays and are advised to plan ahead, use alternate routes and avoid the area or use public transit, officials said. The 55-hour weekend closure of the freeway will be repeated July 29-Aug. 1.

The public can check traffic conditions by calling 511 or visiting Caltrans Quickmap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov.

The freeway closure is part of a $148.5-million pavement repair project in both directions of the 210 Freeway, including in the cities of Glendale, La Canada Flintridge and Pasadena. The project is expected to be completed in 2018.
