The brush fire burning near Julian in northeast San Diego County is now 90% contained with no additional structures destroyed in the last 24 hours, Cal-Fire reported Saturday.

The fire that erupted Thursday morning in the Banner Grade area has burned 217 acres and destroyed two homes and an outbuilding, Cal-Fire said.

Four injuries have been reported. At its height, the blaze was being battled by more than 300 firefighters, aided by air tankers and helicopters. That force has now been downsized to fewer than 100 firefighters.
