Two armed suspects robbed a Burger King on Thursday in Stockton.

But when they got to the parking lot, they discovered one of the robbery victims -- a Burger King employee --had driven away in their getaway car, police said.

According to Stockton police, the Burger King employee took the suspects’ car and drove it around the block, out of sight, while the robbery was happening.

Police arrested the alleged robbers -- identified as 23-year-old Jeremy Lovitt and 19-year-old Gabriel Gonzales -- in a nearby field after they fled on foot.
