Three teenage girls were critically injured Wednesday after being struck by a car in North Hollywood, authorities said.

The girls were reportedly in a crosswalk near 11482 Magnolia Blvd. when a man driving a compact car hit them, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.

“LAFD is working with school staff to make proper notifications and sending representatives to each hospital,” the department said in an alert.
