6 arrested, including one juvenile, in beating death of homeless man

Five young adults to be arraigned Wednesday on murder charges in the beating death of a homeless man

Five young adults and a juvenile have been arrested in the apparent beating death of a homeless man in Santee, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Arrested were Cassidy Rowin, 18; Sarah Baillie, 18; Tyler Dare, 19; Brian Kish, 18; and Danny Swan III, 19. The name of the juvenile was not released.

The five adults are booked into county jail and face charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon; the juvenile was taken to juvenile hall. Arraignment for the adults is set for Wednesday in San Diego County Superior Court.

Deputies responded Saturday night to reports of a fight along a bike path under California 52 in Santee, east of San Diego.

Stephen Lee Hissom, 55, was found dead; a second man was injured. Both had suffered "blunt force trauma" injuries, the sheriff's department said.

No motive for the apparent attack has been revealed.
