Man accused of trying to commit lewd act with girl he met online

A Buena Park man was arrested after he allegedly tried to commit a lewd act with a 13-year-old girl he met on a dating website, law enforcement officials said Tuesday evening.

Jordon Bresyn, 22, is accused of locating the victim and getting her phone number on Instagram, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Department officials said Bresyn began texting the victim. "The victim told Bresyn she was 13 years old. Bresyn proceeded to ask the victim for sex," officials said in a statement.

Bresyn allegedly sent lewd photographs of himself to the victim and asked that she do the same, according to the Sheriff's Department. Investigators with the Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force were alerted and launched an investigation.

Investigators said Bresyn arranged to meet the girl Friday at the San Clemente pier, where he was taken into custody by police.

He was being held on suspicion of child annoyance at Orange County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail, officials said. He is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.

Anyone with information regarding possible additional victims is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at 714-647-7000.
