Man’s need to confess leads to meth bust, police say

The Burbank man who called 911 said he was looking for a priest so that he could make a confession, authorities said.

Instead, he allegedly told police what was on his mind.

In his 911 call, Jonathan Killy confessed to police that he had a small bag of methamphetamine and had been using the drug, along with marijuana, for nearly a year, said Burbank Police Lt. Eddie Ruiz.

When officers were dispatched to the 32-year-old man’s Pass Avenue address Sunday evening, Killy escorted them into his apartment and handed over what appeared to be a bag of methamphetamine, authorities said.

Killy’s confession was not without consequences, officials said: He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and held on $10,000 bail.
