L.A. sheriff's deputies seize 600 marijuana plants at home in Lake Los Angeles

More than 600 marijuana plants were seized at a Lake Los Angeles residence Wednesday, authorities said.

The plants were discovered inside a home and detached garage after Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at the property near 240th Street East and Avenue K-8.

Two men, Jarrett Gregory, 27, of Huntington Beach and Steven Devlin, 34, of Oceanside, were arrested at the location.

Deputies also found a large amount of harvested marijuana, a shotgun and several thousand dollars in cash inside the residence, according to the sheriff's department.

Gregory and Devlin were charged with marijuana cultivation and sales. A pit bull was given over to the animal control officials, as no one at the residence could care for it.

A search warrant for the residence was obtained after two deputies said they observed indicators of marijuana cultivation.
