Authorities search for missing German hiker in Lake Arrowhead
Authorities are searching for a hiker who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon in Lake Arrowhead.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that Alyof Krost, a tourist from Germany, became separated from his party while on the Pinnacle Trail in north Lake Arrowhead.
Krost, 62, is an experienced hiker and hunter and was last seen by his party about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was wearing a light blue long-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans and lightweight hiking shoes. He had no other equipment.
Anyone with information about Krost’s location is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department’s Twin Peaks station at (909) 336-0600.
