Santa Clarita area experiences small quakes Saturday morning, with the largest measuring 3.1

Several small earthquakes occurred Saturday morning in the Santa Clarita area.

The largest measured 3.1 magnitude and struck at 7:54 a.m. It was followed by a few smaller aftershocks.

The largest quake was felt by some residents over a wide area, including the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
