Two killed in Arleta car crash; one driver in custody

Alcohol was a factor in fatal car crash in Arleta, police said

Two people were killed Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Arleta in the San Fernando Valley.

The crash in the 13600 block of Branford Street near Dorrington Avenue occurred at about 9:10 p.m.

The driver of one vehicle was taken into custody, according to a Los Angeles police officer in the Mission Division. A spokesman in the Valley Traffic Division said the accident involved driving under the influence.

No other information was available.
