Reader Photo: A strong finish

Share

There’s nothing like that feeling at the end of a race, knowing you’ve given your all. Photographing a race, you can really see the pain and determination on athletes’ faces, with a hint of relief knowing that they’ll soon be done.

In this image, Jindi Shao captures Katja Goldring, who won the women’s division of the 5th Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Halloween Half Marathon on Sunday with a time of 1:18:01 (that’s a pace of under six minutes a mile!)

Shao used a Canon 5D Mark III to make the image.
