In a surprise to absolutely no one, Dodgers' left-hander Clayton Kershaw was named the National League's pitcher of the month for June on Wednesday.
Apparently he'll have to wait for that pitcher-of-the-decade honor.
Safe to say, Kershaw had himself a pretty good month, and that's even if you take away his June 18 no-hitter.
In his six June starts, Kershaw went 6-0 with a 0.82 earned-run average. He had 61 strikeouts in 44 innings and held opponents to a .161 batting average. He currently has a 28-inning scoreless streak going.
