Football: Running back Michael Soracco will boost Eagle Rock

There’s another good running back in City Section Division II beside Lavell Thompson of South Gate. That would be junior Michael Soracco of No. 2-seeded Eagle Rock (9-1).

He has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of his seven games. He’s back healthy after being slowed by an appendix issue.

Eagle Rock also has a dangerous wide receiver in Nick Jovanelly.

But the best news of all is that Eagle Rock is in the bottom bracket away from South Gate and Hamilton.
