Watch as escaped racehorse runs down Maryland street

Bullet Catcher turned the tables on his jockey and trainer Friday, forcing them to catch him on a street in Laurel, Md., after he escaped the racetrack.

The 4-year-old gelding had completed a morning workout at Laurel Park track when he dumped his rider and escaped the barn area.

Bullet Catcher made his way onto Route 1, where he was caught on camera by a jockey.

The horse reportedly made his way to an auto dealership, where he slowed down and was eventually caught.

Bullet Catcher had minimal injuries on initial inspection, mainly abrasions on his feet, according to Laurel Park spokesman Mike Gathagan, who said the full extent of possible injuries might not be known for days.

Although the above video, shot by jockey Abel Castellano isn’t the highest of quality, it does give you the sense that the horse was out of his element.
