The Times’ Super 16 rankings: Florida State still ahead of Oregon

Rankman resisted the selection committee’s publicity stunt of jumping Oregon over Florida State and its refusal to acknowledge Baylor’s win over Texas Christian earlier this season. We will continue to provide gavel-to-gavel monitoring of all Florida State football games, court hearings, subpoenas, depositions, FBI wire taps and TMZ breaking-news alerts. Also, a welcome back to Ohio State, which has overcome an ugly loss to Virginia Tech, perhaps in time to win the Big Ten title and finish fifth — that’s first left out — in the final college football playoff ranking.
