LeBron James rests and the Cavaliers fall to the Pacers

Paul George scored 21 points, Jeff Teague contributed 20 points and eight assists and the Indiana Pacers took advantage of the resting LeBron James’ absence to hand the Cleveland Cavaliers their second loss of the season, 103-93, on Wednesday night.

James sat out for the first time this season after playing Tuesday night in a home victory over Toronto. Guard J.R. Smith also missed the game because of a sprained right ankle.

Kevin Love led Cleveland (9-2) with 27 points and 16 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving had 24 points and seven assists.

at Oklahoma City 105, Houston 103: Russell Westbrook scored 30 points, including a vicious left-handed dunk in the closing seconds, to help the Thunder end a four-game losing streak. Victor Oladipo had season highs of 29 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma City.

Golden State 127, at Toronto 121: Stephen Curry scored 35 points and Kevin Durant had 30 as the Warriors turned back the Raptors, who got 34 points from DeMar DeRozan.

at Denver 120, Phoenix 104: Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 28 points, Kenneth Faried grabbed 15 rebounds and had a season-high 20 points, and Denver won at home for the first time this season to snap a four-game losing streak. Brandon Knight scored a season-high 32 points for Phoenix while teammate Devin Booker had 24 before he was ejected with 17.8 left after receiving his second technical foul. The Suns have lost five of six.

San Antonio 110, at Sacramento 105: Pau Gasol had 24 points and nine rebounds while LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 and Kawhi Leonard 20 for the Spurs, who won their fourth straight and improved to 6-0 on the road this season. DeMarcus Cousins had 26 points, 17 rebounds and six assists for the Kings, who dropped their third straight game.

at Boston 90, Dallas 83: Isaiah Thomas scored 22 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, getting 20 of the Celtics’ final 24 points to help beat back a late surge by the Mavericks.

at Philadelphia 108, Washington 102: Jahlil Okafor scored 19 points on eight-for-11 shooting to lead the 76ers to their second victory of the season.

at New York 105, Detroit 102: Kristaps Porzingis scored a career-high 35 points and the Knicks held on. The 7-foot-3 forward from Latvia made three three-pointers and converted a dazzling three-point play in the first half after dunking a lob pass on the fastbreak in the first 30-point performance of his two-year career.

at Atlanta 107, Milwaukee 100: Paul Millsap scored 21 points and the Hawks won their sixth in a row.

at Orlando 89, New Orleans 82: Serge Ibaka scored 16 points and Nikola Vucevic broke out of a slump with 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic.
