Update: This is the third and final regular season game between these Western Conference rivals that have struggled all season. Chivas USA won their first match, 3-1, on May 11, and Colorado prevailed in their second game, 3-0, on July 25. Chivas USA had a 12-game winless streak until it defeated Real Salt Lake, 1-0, last weekend, when forward Felix Borja scored his first goal since joining the team in mid-August. But despite 15 goals this season by its leading scorer, Erick Torres, last-place Chivas USA remains tied with the Montreal Impact for the most losses (18) in Major League Soccer. The Rapids, in seventh place, have not won in their last 11 games. They lost to the Seattle Sounders, 4-1, last weekend.
