Record vs. Earthquakes: First meeting.

Update: Yes, that really is the Galaxy in last place in the Western Conference, looking for its first win since April 14. And the defending MLS champions will be doing that without two of their highly paid designated players, because captain Landon Donovan and striker Robbie Keane will miss at least the next three weeks because of international duty, Donovan with the U.S. and Keane with Ireland. But even with those two, the Galaxy had scored only once this month and it’s likely to need more than that against the potent Earthquakes, who lead the conference with 23 goals. Eleven of those have come from Chris Wondolowski, who tops MLS in goals. So consider midfielder David Beckham worried. “It’s getting to that point now,” he said. “It’s not been good for a while now. The only way we can get ourselves out of this is hard work on the training field. Teams go through difficult times. But it’s too much now.
