Western Conference semifinals Game 2

at San Jose, 6, Channel 22

Site -- Spartan Stadium.

Radio -- KMPC (1540), KTNQ (1020, Spanish), Radio Korea (1230, Korean).

Series -- Galaxy leads two-game, aggregate-goal series, 2-0.

Record vs. Earthquakes -- 2-1-2.

Update -- A win or draw, or a loss by no more than one goal, ensures the No. 4-seeded Galaxy of advancing to the one-game Western Conference final at No. 2 Kansas City on Friday. If first-place San Jose beats the Galaxy by two goals, a 30-minute golden-goal overtime period will be played, followed by penalty kicks, if necessary, to determine the series winner. San Jose has scored one goal in its last 602 minutes and the Galaxy has not given up more than two goals in a match this year. “We set the table but nobody’s taken a bite yet,” Coach Sigi Schmid said. Earthquake Coach Frank Yallop told the San Jose Mercury News that the regular season was “almost a pointless exercise” and that “whatever they say down there, they’re not better than us.” San Jose forward Dwayne De Rosario and midfielder Ramiro Corrales are both listed as doubtful because of hamstring injuries. Galaxy forward Carlos Ruiz, who tweaked his right hamstring in Friday’s practice, trained lightly Saturday. The Galaxy took all 24 roster players on the trip.
