Roger Federer advances to semifinals at Wimbledon
Wimbledon semifinals? Roger that.
Roger Federer, who has won this tournament seven times, overcame an 0-2 set deficit Wednesday to beat Marin Cilic, 6-7, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3.
The Swiss star saved three match points in the fourth before finally gaining the upper hand in the final set.
“Today was epic,” said Federer, 34. “I’m going to look back at this as a great match that I played in my career. On center court here at Wimbledon, I don’t remember ever coming back from two sets to love here. This is huge for me.”

Cilic, who had never lost a match after taking a 2-0 lead, dominated with his serve for most of the match.
“I was serving well, mixing up my game well,” Cilic said. “With the game plan that I went into the match, I think I was executing it pretty good. I was giving myself lots of chances the first two sets.”
Federer, who won his record 307th Grand Slam match, will play another big server in the semifinals. He faces Canadian Milos Raonic, a 2014 semifinalist, who beat American Sam Querrey, 6-4, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.
