The good news: Blake Griffin looks great. The bad news: The rest of the team does not.

By halftime in the Clippers’ third exhibition game of the season against the Utah Jazz on Monday, Griffin scored 21 points on 10-for-16 shooting. The rest of the team has a combined 18 points on seven-for-28 shooting.

Despite Griffin’s efforts, the Clippers trail, 56-39.

The Clippers didn’t score in the second quarter until the 6:26 mark. The Jazz bench is outscoring the Clippers bench, 21-3. And the Jazz are outshooting the Clippers, 51.1% to 38.6%.

Not quite the start that Clippers Coach Doc Rivers had hoped for.

The Clippers continue to try different combinations at small forward. After both Matt Barnes and Reggie Bullock had opportunities to start, Rivers gave Chris Douglas-Roberts a try on Monday.

Douglas-Roberts has zero points, one assist, one foul, one turnover and three rebounds in 15 minutes. Guess there’s still hope in Joe Ingles.
