Did the officials get the goaltending call correct in the UCLA-SMU game?

UCLA's 60-59 victory over SMU in a second-round NCAA tournament game came with its share of controversy surrounding a goaltending call on a three-pointer by Bryce Alford near the end of the game.

Some contend the shot would have been an airball and had no chance of going in, which would mean it wasn't goaltending. Others say the ball was going to hit the rim before it was touched by an SMU player.
