Lindsey Vonn’s historic ski season gets assist from German police
It seems that Lindsey Vonn needed some help from German police to continue her record-setting World Cup season.
Headed for the next stop on the schedule, the American ski star made flight connections through Munich on Wednesday and realized that she had left her passport in Austria, the Associated Press reported.
Authorities quickly issued her an emergency travel document so she could board a connecting flight to Bulgaria.
Earlier this season, in Italy, Vonn won her 63rd World Cup race to set the record for career victories.
This weekend she will be in Bansko, Bulgaria, for a World Cup super-G and combined event.
