National signing day: Loyola High’s Chris Brown will attend USC
Offensive lineman Chris Brown signed a letter of intent with USC, the school announced Wednesday.
Brown, 6 feet 5 and 295 pounds, is from Los Angeles Loyola High.
“He is a big physical kid who has been coached well,” Trojans Coach Steve Sarkisian said on USC’s website.
“He is a versatile player who we could use at tackle and guard.”
Brown is one of several offensive linemen who signed Wednesday with the Trojans, including Damien Mama of Bellflower St. John Bosco and Viane Talamaivao of Corona Centennial. Toa Lobendahn and Jordan Austin are already enrolled at USC.
The Trojans lost three starters from last season’s offensive line.
