UCLA Coach Jim Mora has said he refuses to look beyond the upcoming game, and has even looked perplexed when asked who the Bruins play two weeks down the road.

His players better stick to that one-game-at-a-time mantra that the Book of Mora lays out.

UCLA faces Arizona in the Rose Bowl Saturday and a loss would reduce the Bruins’ chances of going to the Pac-12 championship game significantly. Arizona would have a two-game lead in the loss column, and hold the tiebreaker on UCLA.

“We’re still 6-2 and we have been in some tight games, and pulled through in a lot of them,” quarterback Brett Hundley said. “We understand that we can still get to where we want to go.”

But, Hundley said, “this is one of those weeks where you have to understand this is a huge game. For us to get to our goal, which is the Pac-12 championship, we have to beat Arizona.”

Then comes Washington, USC and Stanford.

“We have to be able to get these four games,” Hundley said.

But first comes Arizona.

“I was watching the Arizona-Oregon game and they have a lot of talent,” receiver Jordan Payton said. “They are definitely going to come down here with some bad intentions. We have to be ready to play.”
