Boys’ basketball: Chino Hills stays unbeaten with win in Arizona

Chino Hills traveled to Arizona on Friday night and came away with an 84-70 victory over Las Vegas Bishop Gorman to improve to 6-0 and win its 41st consecutive game over two seasons.

LiAngelo Ball scored 30 points, Eli Scott 20 and LaMelo Ball 19.

Sierra Canyon advanced to its tournament championship game with an 81-57 win over Oak Park. The Trailblazers received 18 points from Marvin Bagley III and 15 points apiece from Cody Riley and Remy Martin. Riley Battin led Oak Park with 20 points.

The Trailblazers will face Alemany in Saturday’s 5 p.m. final. Alemany defeated Camarillo, 66-52. Fred Odhiambo had 15 points and 13 rbounds.

St. John Bosco defeated Cajon 65-54. JJ Watson scored 31 points.

Chaminade defeated Campbell Hall, 60-55. KJ Martin had 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Servite received 29 points from Kamron Fleming in a 74-59 win over Sonora.

Harvard-Westlake defeated Dominguez, 58-45. Cassius Stanley finished with 23 points.

Santa Monica advanced to the Beverly Hills tournament final with a 46-40 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart. Santa Monica will play Washington in the final.

Brentwood defeated Gardena Serra 51-48. Sam Clareman scored 21 points. Loyola defeated Beverly Hills, 76-67. Neil Owens had 21 points.
Darius Henderson scored 19 points in La Salle’s 57-50 win over Valencia.

Palos Verdes won the El Segundo tournament with a 61-60 overtime win over St. Francis.

University won its own tournament championship with an 80-76 win over Palisades. Jude Agbasi, the tournament MVP, had 22 points.

In the Coliseum League, Crenshaw defeated Locke, 90-38. Chris Kendrick scored 29 points and Kevin Ebiriekwe and Ramone Wagner had 18 points apiece. Fremont defeated Hawkins, 80-60. Harvey Carver scored 19 points.

In the Western League, Fairfax defeated Venice, 62-34. Jamal Hartwell ahd 30 points.

La Canada defeated Westlake, 67-49. Justin Kouyoumdjian had 27 points and Sean Estes 19 for La Canada. Adam Hess had 17 points for Westlake.

Rolling Hills Prep won in the debut of former Fairfax Coach Harvey Kitani, beating Lennox, 89-7. Freshman JT Tan had 28 points.

Crossroads stayed unbeaten with an 83-79 win over Oxnard.

Esperanza defeated El Toro, 58-46, behind Kezie Okpala, who scored 30 points.

Warren defeated Mira Costa, 63-55. Deveone Jones had 20 points.

Highland defeated Lancaster, 64-34. Deshay Gipson finished with 21 points.
