Eager to expand the electoral map in their effort to maintain control of the Senate, national Democrats are recruiting Ricardo Sanchez, the former commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, to run for the open seat in Texas in 2012. Sanchez, a retired Army lieutenant general, has not made a final decision on the race, but Democrats in Texas and Washington say he's giving it serious consideration.
