Islanders manager to power their way past the Kings, 4-2

The Islanders’ first power-play goal snapped a streak of 21 fruitless advantages. Their second held as the game-winner in a 4-2 win over the Kings at the Barclays Center on Saturday night. 

The Kings (22-20-4) awoke in the third period with goals from Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty, but that wasn’t enough to avoid a three-game losing streak and a poor start to a four-game East Coast swing.
