Ryan Leaf, the No. 2 overall draft pick in the 1998 NFL draft behind Peyton Manning, was released Wednesday from a Montana prison after serving more than two years for felony drug possession and burglary. In 2012, Leaf, who was already on probation in Texas in connection with similar charges dating back to a 2008 arrest, broke into a Great Falls, Mont., home to steal prescription drugs. The former Washington State standout was arrested twice over a two-day period and later pleaded guilty to the charges. He is now under supervised probation in Great Falls.
