Rock bands Duran Duran and Culture Club will join in a Dec. 27 concert at Anaheim Stadium that will be broadcast worldwide on radio and TV to a potential audience of 250 million, members of the two bands announced Monday at a press conference in New York.

The contract with Anaheim Stadium officials has not been signed, but dates are being held open for the show and promoter Brad Borison, president of TransWorld Concerts, said he expects arrangements to be completed by early next week. Borison said that tickets, to be priced from $17 to $20, will go on sale within three weeks.

In the United States, the concert will be shown on cable TV on a pay-per-view basis and carried through closed-circuit to 300 movie theaters and rock clubs. The concert will also be shown via satellite around the world. Ticket information is expected to be released shortly.
