Dash for Cash Futurity : First Down Dash Wins at Hollypark
First Down Dash won the $754,250 Dash For Cash Futurity quarter horse race Saturday night at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Danny Cardoza, First Down Dash finished the 400-yard event for 2-year-olds in 20.1 seconds, 1 3/4 lengths ahead of Chicks Beduino, to return $14, $3.60 and $3.20. The winner’s share of the purse was $332,500.
Chicks Beduino, ridden by John Creager, paid $2.40 and $2.20. Freedom Flyer, with Kip Didericksen aboard, was third and returned $3.80.
