The widow of rock musician Jim Croce and her former financial adviser will get more than $3.9 million from an insurance company they claim provided bad-faith representation. A San Diego Superior Court jury awarded Ingrid Croce $1.9 million after finding the Chubb Group insurance company failed to investigate her claim that personal property had been stolen from a Point Loma home she once shared with her financial adviser, Gabriela Myers. Myers received $2 million for Chubb’s failure to defend her in lawsuits that Croce filed against her for loss of property. Myers and Croce moved into the home together in 1977 and moved out after a falling out in 1981. Croce later moved back in and discovered vandalism had occurred in the home and several personal items were missing.
