SDSU Is Rained Out but Clinches Second
The San Diego State University baseball team’s doubleheader against Colorado State was rained out Sunday at Fort Collins, Colo. But that didn’t stop the Aztecs from clinching second place in the Western Division of the Western Athletic Conference.
The Aztecs (12-10, 31-26-1) clinched a spot in Thursday’s double-elimination WAC playoffs when Hawaii defeated Wyoming, 25-15, Sunday.
Wyoming (11-12) led, 15-14, after seven innings when the game was suspended because of darkness Saturday night. Hawaii scored 11 runs in two innings Sunday for the victory.
