A 20-year-old Santa Ana man was in critical condition Saturday after he was shot in the chest during a fight late Friday in the downtown area, police said.
Humberto Zamora Garcia was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana after he was wounded by a bullet fired from a handgun about 11:20 p.m. Friday, police said.
Garcia and four friends were walking in the 300 block of North Main Street when a fight broke out between them and five other men who also were walking along the street, police said.
The shooting is not believed to be gang-related, said police, who are continuing their investigation.
