BYU Women Defeat UCLA in Volleyball; Stanford Also Wins

STANFORD —
Jill Plumb had 26 kills to lead Brigham Young to a 3-1 victory over UCLA in the NCAA West Regional women’s volleyball tournament Friday night.
BYU, which improved its record to 34-4, won, 17-15, 15-4, 11-15, 15-12. UCLA ended its season 28-10.
Teresa Smith had 18 kills to lead Stanford to a 3-0 victory over Colorado State. Stanford, which improved its record to 27-6, won, 15-8, 15-9, 15-12. Colorado finished 27-6.
BYU and Stanford will meet tonight.
