Costa Mesa’s Schwartz Wins Speedway Race

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday in front of 4,320 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Steve Lucero of Riverside was second, Phil Collins of Newport Beach third and Bobby Ott of Newport Beach fourth.

Greg Hancock of Costa Mesa won the handicap eight-lap main event. Jim Sisemore of Woodland was second, Brad Oxley of San Clemente third and Lucero fourth.
