Obituaries : Gordon B. Forbes, 63; Executive at Film and Television Studios
Gordon B. Forbes, 63, a production chief and cost-control executive with many of the major film and TV studios in a career that began with Republic in 1950 after he graduated from Yale, died Sunday of apparent heart failure at his home in Studio City.
Over the years Forbes was in key positions at Batjack Productions, RKO-El Dorado Pictures, Paramount, Universal, Burbank and Hollywood Center studios.

The name of film executive Gordon B. Forbes’ wife, Claudia, was not listed with his other survivors in his obituary Tuesday.
Survivors include a son, Duncan; a daughter, Dana; and two brothers, Malcolm Forbes, the publisher, and Wallace. Contributions in lieu of flowers are asked to the American Heart Assn.
