Woody Stephens’ Tactics Criticized
If trainer Woody Stephens thought that the only chance he had of winning the Preakness was to beat Winning Colors, well and good. But if he gave instructions to Pat Day to carry her wide and bump her, that is something else.
As for Pat Day, whether he was riding to instructions from Woody or not, he impeded Winning Colors, and for his unsportsmanlike ride he should draw a fine or suspension.
