Golden West Women Win Visalia Title

Claudette Jackson scored 20 points to lead the Golden West College women’s basketball team to a 63-54 victory over College of the Sequoias Sunday in the championship game of the Visalia tournament.

Jackson, a 5-foot-11 forward, was voted the tournament’s most valuable player.

Bits Sirchia added 18 points and Stacee Johnson had 10 for Golden West, which led, 29-28, at halftime.

Golden West is 10-0. College of the Sequoias is 9-1.
